InterSpec is a software tool designed to assist in the analysis of spectral nuclear radiation data through a peak-based methodology. Its applications encompass the identification of nuclides present, determination of source activity, shielding quantities, estimation of source age, and analysis of other nuclear reactions.

In addition to these core features, InterSpec offers a variety of tools that are valuable for radiation data analysis. These include functionalities for spectral file format conversion, dose rate calculations, interactive nuclide decay and reference information, gamma cross section calculations, and other related utilities.

Compatible with a wide range of spectral radiation detectors such as NaI, HPGe, LaBr, CLYC, CsI-based systems, InterSpec is capable of opening data files from these devices and facilitating their analysis.
